Does it matter which ram slots i use? I had a problem with my pc turning on and found out that when i put ram in the 4th slot my pc won't turn on. Is it big difference in efficiency whether i put ram in 1st and 3rd or 2nd and 4th?

that may be a motherboard issue, also look in your manual to see which slots are better. Also what is your motherboard? also ask customer support about it, you may need to RMA your motherboard.

I'm new to Photography but enjoy it. I also run a Pentax *ist-DL mainly with a 18-55mm lens. I also have a 50-200 mm Pentax lens, and a Pentax 50 lens that is all it says.

What motherboard do you have?

the first and third slots are going to have the highest efficiency, so when using 2 sticks of ram it is best to seat them in those two slots. when you seat ram in the second and fourth slots, you lose efficiency, and often times your computer just wont boot.

Most manufactures recommend slots 2 and 4 first.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.
