How safe is it to use fan splitters?

Go to solution Solved by helping,

As long as you don't use more amps than the header can provide, no issues.

How safe is it to use a 4-pin fan cable splitter? So I can use 2 fans off of one socket on the motherboard? Looking at this one, http://www.kenable.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=6339&gclid=COuize6O1L0CFabLtAodATQA6A

My board is an Asus F2A55-M LK2+ which only has one 4-pin fan connector and one 3-pin. Thanks for any help in advance!

They are safe... They just send the same power to the fans connected to them
