HP Compaq 8000 Elite chassis fan error

I have a older HP Compaq desktop that the rear chassis fan is starting to go out, so I tried to replace it with a Noctua 92mm fan, and after popping it in I got a chassis fan error in BIOS. After putting back in the original fan, same issue is happening. HP support was gonna charge me to talk about it over chat support, so I don’t know what to do from here. I updated the BIOS and everything but nothings working, it just ramps up the fan speed and says there’s no fan inserted until the fan starts rattling. What do I do from here?
