HI Linus & Hello Forum,

i am a really Big fan of your Community and since a long Time following your Advices to build my own Rigs, so i hope you can help me out with my first Forum-Topic.

Im looking forward (in the near future) to purchase a second GPU for my PC to have it running only for a Second monitor.
What bothers me is actually the new purchased Be Quiet! Pure Power 11 (non Modular) because i am not sure if it can handle 2 Graphic Cards at all (the Plugs are there 4x 6+2 Pin) and perhaps not even enough for it

I am using 2x 6+2 Pin (sleeve - cheked also Rails) for the mentioned GPU, and was thinking to get one of thoose additionally :

RX 5700
RTX 3070 or even 1x 3080

Will it even be Able to power up? is that risky for my Rig or should i get a better PSU since the second card, my old 2070 Rog Strix  will mostly run in idle or browsing / watching youtube, discord.
Loud HW Monitor the power consumption is around 40-100 W in Idle. I hope also that MSI Afterburner would help me to set the power limit to perhaps 80% is that dangerous?

Here are some more Informations about My RIG:
CPU: I7 9700 KF
GPU: 2070 ROG Strix (non OC / Super)

Mainboard: ASUS Z390-A PRIME

RAM: 2x 16 GB LPX Corsair Vengeance 3000 MHZ
Storage: 2x 970 EVO 500 GB + 2 TB Seagate

CPU cooler: Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4!

1x Asus TUF Gaming Vg27V 144 Hz Monitor  1x Asus TUF Gaming Vg 27VH1B

Additional Power Consumption: ASUS Aura Trough (3-in-1 Cooler Master) Splitters on 2x 12V-RGB Mainboard  Connectors:

3x Stripes 40 cm Sharkoon,  2 of thoose are on 1 Splitter , the other splitter serves for 1 Stripe and 2 differnt RGB coolers
There are in total 6 Coolers at all

Do you need perhaps more information about the system?

Hope that the community can quickly respond to this with some advices and perhaps tell me which power consumption i could allow on the second Card (2070 Rog)

Kind Regards

You can definitely use 2 monitors with 1 graphics card and it wont decrease performance of the GPU. Powering an extra display has no affect unless you run another 3D game on it.

If you're only running 2 monitors, you have no need for dual GPU.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

Hi Quackers,

Im Actually Running only one Motherboard Asus Prime Z-390 A
Attached is also Current HW Monitor Log - perhaps it helps you to figure it out.
Im aware that the power limit could make a Problem, but if i attempt to run as exmaple: Bluestacks which obviously loads at least 40-60% of the GPU (idle gaming on one monitor with 2070) and Playing another game on The newer GPU on 100% (horizon zero dawn as example) - Thats what worries me.
