Is this the difference you are referring to?

I had to take pictures of screenshots of course to show the difference. I also zoomed in.

Yes, I can.

And the reason I didn't spot it before is because it's less noticeable in other games and in order to see it in those other games, I have to look for it. In the game in the screenshot, Titan Quest, I notice it when I stop my character in place and zoom the in-game camera in. When I'm playing the game with the camera out a little further, it's not noticeable unless I'm looking for it.

What is certain is that it's not bad. It's not awful. It's not terrible. It's not horrible. It's not horrendous. This is still something I don't understand people labeling it as. I also wouldn't label it as distorted or blurry or degraded. Slightly distorted or slightly blurry or slightly degraded? Sure, I'll give ya that. That's probably how I'd describe what I see. And only when I either look for it or zoom in with the in-game camera to see it.

Precisely. That's my experience up until today. I have to look for it, in order to see any difference.

How well your monitor handles the upscale is probably a large factor here, they aren't all equal at this.

This is something I think about when people describe what their monitor portrays as anything "bad".

I feel an idea for an LMG video coming on, can the LMG staff tell the difference between 1080p content on a 1080p and 1440p monitor.

I'd love to see that video.
