Audio devices kept being forgotten by OBS.

InfraDelta

So I am using OBS to record some stuff and the audio keeps on not getting recorded.
The reason was that OBS doesn't take kindly to audio devices getting disconnected and reconnected/ turned off and on.

So the audio coming out of the secondary audio device is not getting recorded.

How do I fix this or find a solution to it?

Add them as audio sources? Instead of using default devices, use them as individual sources.

I did that and OBS forgets and resets it back to default.

Odd, I just tested by launching OBS while mic disconnected and then again while connected. Works just as expected. Do your audio devices have same names or something like that? I could see that being issue if system gets confused by identifying different devices.

No my devices have unique names. And the audio device I am talking about is output.
