First Time Build...Looking for Feedback and Suggestions

Thew115

Budget (including currency): 1500USD

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Minecraft, Red Dead Redemption, Doom Eternal. Tomb Raider

Other detail (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I am currently looking at finding a used 1440p monitor for no more than $200USD.

Current Plan for Peripherals is to by a set from Costco for $100.  Set includes

  • Razer Kraken V3 X Gaming Headset

  • Razer DeathAdder V2 Gaming Mouse

  • Razer Ornata V2 Gaming Keyboard

  • Razer Gigantus V2 Mouse Pad

However I am open to suggestions.

I have put together this build on pcpartpicker

You got a really good list to begin with though i did do some minor upgrades

Added a cpu cooler so your cpu can boost higher

Upgraded the board to a b550a pro

Upgraded the ssd to an a2000 (has dram cache and faster than an sn550)

Upgraded the psu to 750w

You can get windows from sites like scdkey for ~20$ since paying full price for a garbage os like windows 10 is quite a ripoff, and sometimes there are youtuber promocodes so you can get a discount, for scdkey i think tech yes city has a scdkey code, if i recall correctly it is TYC but there are also other sites where you can buy windows keys from

Where are you getting your edited prices from though?

Have you already bought those components, or are you planning on getting them for those prices?

Get a better RAM

Get a better drive, SN550 is bad drive.

Get a different PSU.

That's all you need to do.

I have already bought the GPU.  Got lucky at my local Micro Center and I am buying the case from a friend.

I would recommend this then. Games like RDR2 will take up a lot of storage, so you'll want to have a 1TB SSD dedicated to your games. You can also get Windows 10 for free, and just buy a key later, or get one for cheap (like $30-40) elsewhere.
