Ok here we go.

The CPU is still a bit older, but at least we moved on to something that can take DDR4 and is a bit more powerful. Again can't really overclock on it though. For the CPU cooler, I tried to find something with RGB because you mentioned that your brother would like that, but I kept going over budget with it, so I settled on a bright red one instead. The motherboard is fine for what it is going to be used as far as I know. The RAM is overkill, but is also the cheapest I found, so lets call that one good for a future upgrade and its 16GB. The SSD is the same, and should work just fine. The GPU is one of the biggest improvements from the last list. The case is still cheap, but I made sure to include a window so your brother can at least see all the parts and if you wanted to include some RGB in it, can see those too. The PSU is also cheap, but better than the last list with a bit more power to it. I use these on my budget builds and they seem to work great for me.

With these parts you are looking at getting over 100 FPS on ultra settings with Valorant easy, more on lower settings. Also a note on the cost of the GPU. I would recommend, if you have the time, to do some hunting for a GTX 970 as an auction on eBay because I think they go for $180 or less. I just looked for the buy now prices. Also for the part picker prices, I have no idea if there is a cost to ship them to Australia.

All in all, by my calculations, this set up costs just under $546 USD.

So I'm kinda looking for soome ideas on an 800aud (550ish usd) build for my little brother. He wants to streann valorant, and do schoolwoorkk.
I've never thought of building a pc in this price rannge, most of my builds are mid range-high end (building pcs for others is my hobby). Would be a 144hz monitor. All peripherals he already has. I would prefer for it to be overcllockable, so it will last a bit longer. 500gb of ssd storage is enough, he only needs to store os, vallorant, twitch, obs annd word documents. (assuming tthat is enough storage.)
Nice to haves: rgb, hes a kid so he soaks up that stuff. if not in the build parts, i wiill just put a light strip in it. i was hoping for a glass/acrylic case.
So yeah. Can someone please maake me an 800 aud pcpp list?
ps: will need 16gb of ramm for streaming

You won't get a good deal in this price range. An entry-level gaming computer is going to cost north of 1000 USD with peripherals and a monitor, especially given your expectations. You can either go used, but that isn't going to be easy since even used parts cost a lot these days. You could just buy a decent laptop with a Ryzen APU. The latter of which will have warranty, and you won't need to purchase accessories. Still, I doubt it would be a terrific experience if you want to stream gameplay, but will certainly offer better value than building a computer.

Here is the closest I got:

CPU: https://www.ebay.com/itm/363368264846?epid=14025854174&hash=item549a6fb48e%3Ag%3AFfcAAOSwZbhfjueo&LH_BIN=1

Motherboard: https://www.ebay.com/itm/284424587587?hash=item423906c943:g:XCgAAOSwbJthJpfO

RAM: https://www.ebay.com/itm/324590617542?hash=item4b931bc3c6:g:VK4AAOSw0ShghcWR

SSD: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/QdH7YJ/team-ax2-512-gb-25-solid-state-drive-t253a3512g0c101

Case: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/dyNypg/diypc-ma01-r-microatx-mini-tower-case-ma01-r

GPU: https://www.ebay.com/itm/265142177269?hash=item3dbbb48df5%3Ag%3AnjoAAOSw5xBgiwy9&LH_BIN=1

PSU: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/xDMwrH/evga-br-450w-80-bronze-certified-atx-power-supply-100-br-0450-k1

Total for just the PC is (if you get a total of 16GB of RAM): Just under $345 USD. But that does not include the monitor. The CPU seems to be an ok one, even if it is a bit older. I don't think you will be able to overclock on it though which was a thing you wanted. The CPU cooler is a standard one, but should do the trick. The motherboard I don't know much about, but I don't see any red flags about it. The RAM is a bit slow, but should be fine for DDR3. The SSD is not the best one, but the cheapest if you want a 500GB one. Personally I would recommend maybe getting a slightly smaller one and going for a HDD for the rest of the data storage to save some money. The case is pretty cheap but still should do the trick. The GPU may be laughable at best, but I did some calculations online and on high settings with Valorant you will be getting 60+ FPS. You can turn down the settings to get more if wanted. I am not the most knowledgeable when it comes to PSUs but as far as I know that one should be fine even if it is dirt cheap. It has good scores, from a reputable company and at least bronze certified.

To cut costs, as mentioned, you may consider reducing the storage amount of the SSD, or even just getting 8GB of RAM, which I know is not a popular decision on this board, but as long as it is dual channel, I don't think you will lose a whole lot of FPS on Valorant. Plus you can always get some more later on.

Sorry. I meeant I have put away 550 usd for my pc. i have not bought the 144hz monitor yet, but it iss a must have.
EDIT: Looking back at my posts, Ican see your cinfusion. The 550 usd is just for tthe pc.

Oh, I was indeed confused, but that is alright. With that budget we can actually go a bit further I think with your brother's PC and include some better parts. What is the budget for the monitor?

Just want a good 144hz monitor. Went with the aoc 27g2/24g2. He said he wanted a frameless monitor.

As far as I know those are good monitors, both of them. I personally would lean towards the 24g2 as 1080p is better at 24 inches than it is at 27 inches because it is easier to see the pixels at 27.

I also realized I forgot to include the cost of activating Windows. I usually use Kinguin which is about $35 USD. I am not sure how much it would be AUD though.

Already have a key.
So can you make me a 550 usd pcpp list? Just pc hardware, no peripherals. WOould be much appreciated.

Yep, I have fun researching them on budgets for some reason, but give me a few minutes or so and I should have something a bit better than I had before.

Just as a note, double-check my work to make sure everything does indeed ship to Australia and that there is no additional shipping cost. I used to buying for USA and can make mistakes, but I try not to.
