Knight of Fire and Ice

Arcticfo

Alright guys figured I would do a build log on my NZXT Phantom 630 Case. This is going to be kind of a knight/dragon build using MSI's new gaming range for the Intel motherboard. Parts are not going to be here anytime soon as I am holding out for either Haswell or (If I can wait that long biggrin.gif) Ivy-E. Luckily for me I decided to actually use ChainMail for the back panel...

Alright a brief sketch-up documentation.

Which might for all intensive purposes be the death of me. Regardless I've started and thought I would show you the progress so far.

The beginning of the end. The roll of links...

To avoid mental injury I then began the next part of the design cutting out the side panel shield.
Cutting the template.

Alright guys I need some quick advice.  I'm debating on whether or not I should water cool this rig, because if I do decide to do it then I need to make a few more modifications.  There are two real factors that have me worried first is mobility, this rig is being built over the summer at my parents house so eventually it's going to be moved back to a college setting.  Though admittedly it will be stuck there until schools out again it's still a concern.  Second is of course cost though I should be able to afford it if I push the finishing of my build back a bit.  Let me know what you guys think.

are those steel/aluminum rings? if so, wow great dedication. as for water cooling. If you budget allows it, go for it. There are a lot of things you can do with your theme and get water cooling to work.

Alright guys small update for all of you.  I did some test painting on a couple pieces of scrap metal I had lying around and decided on the color.  For the record it's Rustoleum universal hammered spray paint in silver.  Unfortunately The test piece was ruined slightly by a not so usable textured metallic paint.  I do however have a picture of the Dark bronze color.

For the record I'm using galvanized steel wire and bending them into rings.  Its a huge pain but the results are well worth it.

Do it! A build that's gonna be as great as this deserves to be water cooled! It would be a real shame if you didn't

Well I can give you half of it I believe Erza is from fairy tail (I could be wrong)  I seem to remember her while I was looking for a new Manga to read.  As far as another character I have no Idea :D

In return however I challenge you this if you can name the anime/manga and another character.  The character is Moka akashiya.  Not sure why it's my favorite manga but I keep going back to it so why not.

Anyway back to an update I did a little work on the case today and I thought I'd show you how it's coming
