Hello

Was curios my build is a 5800x on an asrock phantom b550 itx with an h100i rgb platinum se white and a asus gtx 1080 oc and 32gb of ddr4 3200 corsair lpx with a seasonicx fx 850 in a corsair 380t case. Is it normal with a config like this that i cannot get the 5800x under 50C for idle? even with fans ramped to 100% along with punp idles around 50~53 Degrees Celsius. Am i doing something wrong here? All 2xintake fans are corsair ll120 and exhaust is 2x corsair ll120 through the 100i and a Noctua NF-A12. Just for note under HEAvy gaming for 5 to 7 hours max temps seen in case is around 75~80. any help would be appreciated.

80c is fine, dont worry about those temps

And i think high idle is normal on these chips since theres 8 cores on 1 ccd so the cpu hotspot is in a weird place which makes cooling pretty difficult

And no 240mm aios dont beat high end aircoolers, even a budget dual tower like the phantom or fuma 2 will be able to match or beat most 240mm aios, hence why this temp is normal, heck it might actually be a pretty good temp depending on the clockspeed, what is your cpu clockspeed when stress testing?

I'd say that's a bit warm. I cool my 5950x with a 240 rad and see max temps of 77c with a decent PBO. (That's after a couple hours of load) Furthermore, at full dead idle temps are generally 32-34c.

Are you overclocked? If so, is it static or PBO? (Static will keep clocks up and you will see high idle temps like you've described)

A pic of your cooling setup would speak a thousand words.

I have doubts any temperature or clock readings on Ryzen 5000 are even correct, because they are always all over the place and pretty much not even two different apps show the same clocks, voltages or frequencies. Windows Task manager shows one set of info, CPU-Z another, HWINFO third and none of them are even consistent with Ryzen Master either. Coming from 5820K where everything was exact and the same everywhere to this randomized clusterfuck it's almost impossible to have control over anything at all.

Hello

Here is my cooling setup and yes i am running precision overboost which normally puts me right around 4.6 stable all the time and peaks of 4.8GHZ.

Which way are these fans blowing? Out or in to your case? (The radiator fans)
