What thermal paste pattern would I use for these two?

for direct die. just spread it yourself. a simple thin layer covering all of it is fine. if you feel like you put to much dont worry about it. just make sure you get full coverage

Always do full spread on direct die, whether desktop (delidded) or any laptop CPU, or any GPU.

X pattern with drops in quadrants is good for IHS (lidded) chips.
