Combining 2 different brands

Could u combine a intel i7 extreme n a steel legend mother board with a AMD Radeon 6700xt gpu would that work

There shouldn't be anything stopping an Intel chip with AMD GPU, just so long as the mobo has the right socket for the Intel chip.

Should easily work. It will run at PCIE 3.0 if it's 10th gen or below, but that's like 2 fps difference max. I have an i5 and 5500 XT and everything works fine

It's a pretty common misconception that you cannot mix brands, such as an AMD CPU and Nvidia GPU, or Intel CPU and AMD GPU.

You wouldn't believe how many times i've heard people saying they only go with AMD CPU & AMD GPU or INTEL CPU & NVIDIA GPU.

 

Personally i always go AMD CPU & NVIDIA GPU - best combo for gaming in my opinion.

Well since I found this great deal for a 1600 dollar cpu off of that ltt YouTube for 14 cores for 320 imma try it out since it’s a steal n y not I ain’t doing anything crazy so
