Epic's Scrub Build

1. Budget & Location
$550-$600 US (Near a Micro Center :3)

2. Aim
Main game, World of Tanks, BF4 other things as well. Only need to get like 40-50 fps.\

3. Monitors
1 1920x1080p

4. Peripherals
Nope

5. Why are you upgrading?
I have a crummy laptop and its about time.

CPU: Really want to go Intel, Planning on making this a Hackintosh later on. An i3 4130 @ 3.4Ghz is enough for me.

CPU Cooler: Stock is fine

GPU: A 750ti or an Open Box 760.

Mobo: A Gigabyte ITX one. H87? Wifi isn't important, as I will probably use Ethernet or a Wifi Adapter.

Ram: Anything 8gb 1600mhz. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/kingston-memory-khx16c9t3k28x Looking at this but whats the warning for 1.65v thing? Someone explain, will I have to underclock it to work?

Storage: I have a Black Drive and I will get an SSD later.

Case: Got a good deal @Microcenter $55 for a BitFenix Prodigy

PSU: I really wanted to go with EVGA because their Warranty. I don't need Modular for this case or build unless you recommend one. Looking at this http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-100b10500kr

Have fun Helping me :D

The Paterson One. I dont live there. Hue.

Also, don't get an i3. The 6350 literally takes a dump all over it in literally everything, and can be overclocked.

Hard drive and OS I already have.

Now, I know this goes against a lot of what you want but... It's so much better than an i3. Ask yourself if you really neeeeed the hackintosh.

^ That's pretty good leaves you room to upgrade your CPU and ad more ram later on.

I'm a bit late to the thread OP, can you not order online and just have it shipped to you?

I can, I was just planning on getting the CPU and Mobo from Microcenter. The rest on Amazon or newegg.

I would rather get a Open Box 760 or new 750ti and add the money I save from not getting a new 760 to a better mobo.

ok this one? http://www.microcenter.com/product/417349/GA-Z87N-WIFI_LGA_1150_mini_ITX_Intel_Motehrboard

sadly the only open box 760 at your location is $280 http://www.microcenter.com/product/419828/04G-P4-3768-KR_NVIDIA_Geforce_GTX_760_FTW_ACX_Cooler_4096MB_GDDR5_PCIe_x16_30_Video_Card?ob=1

Yes and with a 4340 it should be $30 off. Or can i get a combo deal with a 4130?

I think the 4340 is the only i3 with a combo deal, but it's better so no big deal

Yepp. When is The Haswell Update coming out? You think its worth waiting or better temps on an i3? ._, Doubting it. Doubt MC will have it $30 off too.

I've tried to select Micro Center for most of the parts but Microcenter don't seem to stock the Gigabyte mITX board. It has been recommended by another member on here to go with a more reputable brand like ASUS or GIGABYTE when choosing to go for an mITX build because the Asrock mITX Mobo's seem to be considered crappy when going to a small form factor like mITX.

I hope this helps. :D

ON A 7 MONTH BREAK FROM THESE LTT FORUMS. WILL BE BACK ON NOVEMBER 5th.
