Asus Mobo stuck on DRAM light

S.Hamed23

I turned on my pc after 9 months alongside changing the cooler to a NHD-15 Chromax from a H100i Platinum. Now it won't get into bios.

The motherboard's stuck on the dram yellow led.

I tried the standard troubleshooting procedure for ram issues (removed cmos battery and drained the system out of power, repositioned the ram into A2 slot)

Still can't get into bios. I only have one stick of ram so can't check if the ram died. Is there's any other option to check if it's a ram issue or not?

Otherwise I'd have to rma the ram.

Specs:

i5-9600K

Asus Strix Z390-F

1x8gb Gskill Tridentz 3200mhz cl16

No gpu

Resetting bios with battery removal can take some time. Preferably reset it by shorting the pins on the motherboard for 5 seconds while powered off, this works instantly.

Another ram stick would definately be helpfull in troubleshooting.

I left the cmos bettery for around 40mins and drained the whole system out of electricity. It worked
