MSI B550-A Pro or MSI B450 Tomahawk Max II

Schporki7

So I'm building a pc and I was wondering if i should go with a B550 or a B450 motherboard considering the rest of the system is:

CPU - Ryzen 5 3600

GPU - GTX 1660OC 6GB

RAM - 16GB  3200MHz

Storage - some generic SATA SSD

B550-A Pro for sure.

For the storage, just get a WD SN750 or a WD Blue 2.5" SSD.

B550 apro for sure cause it has much better vrms than the b450 tomahawk

Btw what parts are you planning to buy for your build?

Performance will be identical with those parts. B550 could be worth the money if you think pcie4 will be needed in a few years for gaming. I would pick 5600X + b450 tomahawk any day over 3600 + b550-a pro.

Either of those is fine for an R5 3600, so it comes down to whether you want to save some money or not. The B450 board loses out on pcie 4.0 support, but otherwise it is fine for a 3900X/5900X.
