Hard drive always spins

In Windows Control Panel --> Power Options --> Change plan settings --> Change advanced power settings --> 

  • Hard disk --> Turn off hard disk after: (default is 0).

Change the minutes from 0 to whatever the idle period you want. For example set to 5, so after 5 minutes of inactivity, the drive should spin down.
