Hi,

8700k delided 5ghz  1.31v 4.7 on cache hitting 77c in stress tests on hottest cores

70c gaming

I can run 4.7 at 1.2v and 4.4 cache at 65c

55c gaming

i only game at 1440p with a 2080ti

is it worth me running the lower clocks to save on heat ? Will there be a big differance In gaming ?

77c hottest core and 70c while gaming is 100% perfect and normal and fine. It won't hurt the chip or your performance or experience.

Just don’t no if it’s better in the long run to have been running cooler ?

You will likely replace/upgrade your system long before a CPU dies. Other components will die long before a CPU does.
