I'm building a PC for my girlfriend's younger brother, any suggestions are welcome

Hi, I'm from Ukraine, budget around 1100 USD.

Trying to nuild a PC for my girlfriend's younger brother, he wants to be a programmer, plays some games (Fortnite and Detroit Become Human, for some small reference), his parents will use it for some small things but that's irrelevant. So far I've come up with this: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7YRvBc (all prices converted from UAH with some tiny margin of error) the GPU will be used, that's how I will (probably) manage to get it for cheap, it seems I will need a slightly better PSU, like 500-550W, suggestions welcome, I will also probably try to find a different cheaper less fancy case, we don't want all the RGB shenanigans, only good airflow and maybe some fans inside.

Any suggestions will be very welcome and thanks all y'all in advance

Be careful on the SN550 SSD, there are reports coming out that WD has started shipping a new variant of it which is much slower.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

A10400f won’t overclock so if it comes with an OK cooler you can just use it and save the entire cooler cost.  If it’s a tray part and doesn’t come with a cooler something cheaper might be available.

only thing I can think of really.

And of course there is no way to know, right?

But I have 11400F, and no, it doesn't come with a cooler unlike 10400F

Ah.  Weird.  It won’t clock. A KF would clock but it won’t. Stock cooler would be fine. Seems like an expensive cooler.  Variable by area though I suppose.

Doesn't seem so. That's what makes it so shitty, same thing ADATA did with the SN8200 Pro that LTT did a video on.

Seeing a lot of that lately.  Short term bonus long term disaster stuff.  A bait and switch just mines the value of the brand.

Don't bother listing your price in USD when you're likely not buying in the US, since you'll get builds like @Bombastinator's that really don't have any relevance to you.

List the budget in the currency you'll be buying in, and the PCPartPicker country you'd be buying from, if applicable.

Pricing does not directly convert.

I didn’t do a build.  I just cop/pasted the BB code of the OP’s build so that it was easier for people to get at.  I didn’t even try a build myself.

It's more for reference than anything, I don't think it would be very useful if I listed them in UAH
