Which case?

Hi guys!

Me and my friend are arguing about which case is better. Fractal Design Define R4 or Zalman Z3 Plus. He owns the Zalman and I own the Fractal Design. He is saying that the Zalman is a lot better than Fractal. Can we prove him that he is wrong?

I think the Fractal Design looks better. I don't know much about the Zalman Z3 Plus build quality though.

ok ok im a massive fanboy of zalman(just look at my title), like die hard zalman fanboy, the zalman cases dont match the fractal design cases(apart from the core 1000, thats dog shit), fractal design are built for the higher end world and zalman are for people on a budget that cant spend a lot of money but still need decent quality. That being said the z3 does have FAAR superior airflow to the define R4 due to having more fans, vents etc, maybe thats his argument.

The R4 is "better" but the biggest difference between cases are their aesthetic and that is what will sell a case the best (unless you're the 900D).

 

Most ATX cases nowadays all have cable management grommets, plenty of space for fans, a few radiator mounts, and that is really all you'd need anyways for a case. Whatever looks better will be better for the user. (excluding those who need the radiator mounts of something like a 900D)

Not really, but all of the Zalman products I've used/touched ( Mice, Fans, Cases, etc ) were broken really quick and had cheap components and flaws.

Fair enough. I know for a fact that Thermaltake Urban cases are crappy. Their metal is so flammin' flimsy and cheap. When I see people use them I just think "that thing is gunna fall part when you try to even move it :lol:". I will vote for Nanoxia cases though. Good price and really well build like Fractal Design cases but at half the price.
