Websites Or Software For WEBM/MKV To MP4 Converting?

In 1 of my previous posts, I mentioned that I'm still working on my music compilation project for YT. But I seem to be at a standstill again. 😕 

 

In order to use Mixxx for analyzing the bpm/tempo of each track, I have to upload them- that's no big deal. But after asking around on the Mixxx forum, it doesn't seem like WEBM & MKV file types are supported yet as some of the tracks I have are of those formats. So, the obvious solution that I believe will work is to simply convert these other tracks to mp4 so that Mixxx can detect/properly recognize them. (Tried yesterday with the non-mp4 tracks & it didn't pick them up.) But, which is the better solution for converting the tracks- do I use some sort of website that may or may not do a great job depending, or is it better to use some sort of software for the job? 🤔 Personally, this is something I haven't really ever done before, so since I'm a little inexperienced on this topic, I would appreciate it very much if someone can give me some proper insight/guidance/advice, etc.

Okay, fair enough. But if you did or didn't notice, @tkitch suggested/recommended Handbrake. I wouldn't even know which is better between the 2...

Handbrake is limited with number of codecs it supports but has more advanced tweakable options. Just try it out, all its gonna take is 3 minutes of your time.................

Sure. But technically, you recommend Handbrake over Format Factory? Or does it depend...?
