Budget (including currency): 1 000+ EURO

Country: Romania

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Lightroom classic, Premiere Pro, After effects, Illustrator, Programming, School etc.

Other details : My current PC :    PerfTune_MQmqc6GI6Q.thumb.png.d36965147320b0dbd69ddfc84d2eb682.png
The only thing I want to salvage from this pc is the graphics card. I want an all around pc mainly focused on editing (me and my dad are wedding/event photographers) but I'll also use this pc for college, for programming and light gaming (might upgrade to a 1660 super or 3060ti or 3080ti) if the prices will settle down, but for now I'll stick to my 750ti and it's good enough for my needs, anyways, I can't decide between 2 builds(I'll attach photos) Intel (11600k) or AMD ( Ryzen 5 5600x)
They both seem good in terms of price/performance and they're close in benchmarks (Ryzen will win some) but I still can't decide, I liked my intel for it's entire lifespan (~5 years) and I never had an AMD powered system before.

chrome_1VOzIzeMDK.thumb.png.865c4407c88096d2fca665bb42c7ef72.png

here's the AMD one (yes, i watched LTT's video on budget 4k workstation and 16GB seems to be enough but the price difference wasn't so high so I might have some headroom aswell)

image.thumb.png.9b556b32c30ad0653b4665566cdb480e.png

here's the intel one, it lacks cpu cooling I'm still deciding on that.
I also already have the case but any recs would be appreciated since I want to change it, the case is : aqirys rigel.
Thanks in regards !!

Def amd unless you can get an 11700 for cheap

Ditch the expensive mobo for a cheaper one such as the b550 a pro cause you are most likely not overclocking which is indicated by the cooler

Ditch the 980 pro, completely useless unless you transfer massive files such as 4 or 8k video regularly and no it doesnt do sht to your load times, i suggest the silicon power a80, kingston a2000, or wd sn750 as they all have dram cache which benifits endurance, a 1tb version of any of these ssds will be the same price or cheaper than the useless 980 pro

Lmao workstation with rgb xD, alr if its a personal workstation at your home sure why not, but if its in an office at work that will literally indicate GaMeR to everyone that looks at your pc xD, enough joking around that ram is very overpriced, go for ballistix 3600mhz cl16 or find the cheapest 320pmhz cl16 kit and overclock it to 3600mhz

5600x and 11600 are very weak for a workstation, id suggest an 8 core like 5800x or 11700 minimum (easily obtainable as long as the overpriced sht is gone)

Cooler will work just fine for your needs since you are most likely not overclocking anyways

The psu is fine unless you use a powerful gpu like the 3080 or better, in that case id suggest an 850w psu

Depends on what you do, but some minor ocing like ram wont do anything to damage your ram

For cpu ocing you can just turn on pbo and itll auto oc for you so you dont have to worry about that

If you are considering to do some serious ocing and not just set it and forget it then go for b550 tomahawk or if you are really serious then go for the b550 e/xe, although b550 tomahawk will be enough for most ppl and its also a great value choice aswell

Maybe look at the mobo tier list for good vrms https://linustechtips.com/topic/1137619-motherboard-vrm-tier-list-v2-currently-amd-only/

Neither of these builds is suited to your workloads. You need an 8 core minimum to have a good experience with these apps as well as programming tasks.

Price an 11700K or 5800X. Either will be just as good as the other, so you can just choose whichever happens to be cheaper (consider mobo cost as well, though).

You dont need the Gen4 SSD. Yeah RGB Ram looks nice, but I just got the cheapest 32GB kit.

You can also go for the last Gen 8 Core CPU, also a good CPU but cheaper even then the 5600X.
