Need some help with my controller please :(

So I recently bought an xbox 360 controller for PC. I found out when I only push my joysticks half way, it is registered as max input. I tried calibrating it in windows but didn't work. Looked everywhere but seems no one has this problem. Is my controller faulty?

Chinese X360 controllers have terrible joysticks. I assume it also has a major deadzone when you first start moving the joystick? This is the reason why I always buy original xbox360 controllers if I ever see one for sale.

Damn i guess thats probably why Im new to controller so i figured just buy some cheaper ones to try out. But are there no ways to fix this?

You can always buy replacement joysticks from china hope that they are legitimate (fyi there are none) and desolder the one that is in there and solder it back in. Its not exactly a beginner project but If you soldered and desoldered anything from a pcb before you can do it.
