I had the same problem when I was in a house with stone floors and bares walls. So I bought some of these: http://www.moddiy.com/products/Premium-Pyramid-Noise-Dampening-Foam-(50x50cm).html?gclid=CPe39rLOzb0CFc1afgod5gIAZQ

it's godly, I got 10 of them to place around my room and my room became 20x quieter

You could honestly like what @LancerBG said, use milk cartons. You can buy stacks of them cheaply, and you can even paint them so it doesn't look terrible.

ik it works but I'm not that ghetto cheap lol especially when people come over that would be like Wtf egg cartons

It sounds like egg cartons would be the best option.

Mice never had to soundproof anything but from what others are saying they work and don't cost much.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)
