Apple pro apps size

Go to solution Solved by Electronics Wizardy,

I have a M1 macbook pro with most of the apps(FCPX, compressor, motion). The apps aren't that big(less than 20gb total I think), but your projects might be, esp for video. Id go 500gb if you can.

If your doing video work, you will want a lot of space, id go 1tb if you can, or use a external drive.

I am thinking of switching to macOS and if I do so, i am going to buy the pro apps bundle. I was wondering how much space I need for them. Is a 256gb mac ssd enough?

What are you doing with the apps? That's more of a storage concern than the apps themselves.

I am pretty sure that I will buy the 256gb model and get a 1tb nvme external drive. I will store my projects on that drive because at 200 euros (yey eu and taxes) for the 512 model it doesn’t make sense for me.
