Displaying phone to monitor

kucharczykt

Is there a way to display my phone to a monitor screen but without using USB c? I thought about using a Roku but I didn't want to buy a Roku for the sole purpose of screen casting. Although because I can buy one at Walmart it would be nice.

Does anyone have a better option or is a Roku my best bet?

I wanted something that could be used without a PC just a monitor or other display.

Oh. Yeah, that doesn't really exist. In order to do something like that wirelessly, it's some sort of software. Monitors are out on their own, since they don't have any "smart" features built into them. You can hook up a Roku (as you already mentioned) or really any other similar device like a Chromecast, but you'd need a device to make it happen. When it comes to TVs, as long as it had something like Chromecast built-in or apps you could install, that would work, of course without needing something separate.
