PWM running fans at full speed

Random_Animator
Go to solution Solved by Random_Animator,

So, turns out i was being dumb, i double checked all my fan headers in the manual and i had my aio and fan hub plugged into the wrong headers, works perfectly now

So a few weeks ago, i bought a bunch of Lian Li st120's to fill out my case, I've connected them to the included hub and connected that to the motherboards fan headers. I've set them all in the bios to run pwm silent mode yet when i power up the machine, they run full speed, am i being dumb and missing something or is something wrong?

Motherboard is an Asus x570-f

Do they calm down after your system posts and windows boots? If so, this is normal behavior.

actually the opposite, when i first power on the machine, they run quiet, then when the bios and windows start to load, they ramp up to full speed

If you unplug one from the controller, and just plug it into the header that the controller is plugged into, does it act the same?

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.
