Moving external steam drive between laptops

Fried.Bacon

Hey guys! Hope you can help me with this question

here's the scenario:
-I've got two laptops; Laptop A and Laptop B, both have steam installed and logged-in using the same account

-I have one External SSD which I plan to use as an external steam drive on Laptop A

Question:
1. Can i transfer the externaL SSD to laptop B, add it as a library and detect the games on the external SSD automatically with no additional setups/downloads required?
2. and vice-versa? connecting it back to Laptop A

The reason why I have this setup is because, laptop B is my personal gaming laptop at home, while laptop A, is at our office. Office internet is 10x faster at home. Also dont want to carry two laptops everytime. Also downloading a lot of games

Should be fine as long as the drive path steam is looking for is the same between the machines so it can detect the games.
