USB C PCIE Expansion Card with displayport input - Titan Ridge 2.0

Looking at adding TB to my existing Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite WiFi (rev. 1.0). I've seen mixed review using Titan Ridge cards with the rev 1.0 mobo. 

I would happily just go with a usb c card, but would prefer displayport over the connection too

Anyone actually done this with success?
