Would this 1u psu be suitable for an i3-3100 based server in my 1u case? 12v stuff is confusing me.

Your board isn't compatible with 12V Only PSUs.

 

You need 5V and 3.3V as well.

What motherboard do they have? I can't see it in their post.

The PSU they linked to is not 12V only. It has 5v and 3.3v
