hard drive extraction worth it

I have an older 5th gen i3 laptop with a 2.5 inch hard drive. Its a terabyte of storage, so is it worth putting it in an external enclosure to use as extra storage? I bought it on a black friday sale about 3 years ago, dropped the laptop a few times, but still in decent condition.

If you need the space externally, go for it.  Only you know if you can make use of it.

 

Throw an SSD in that laptop and it'll be snappy again for a while.

That's a question that only you can answer. Do you need the extra storage space? If so then it might be worth it. Check the drive health though - dropping a laptop with a mechanical hard drive isn't great.
