So i have a no-so-powerful power supply from raidmax(hybrid 750w). I was deciding to do some sleeving but i found out that the end of the modular cables, connected to the mini modular cables from the power supply, is glued. I see a glob of glue gluing the 5 little cables together. How can i resolve this problem. Are there ways to bypass that mess. Please list all the possibilites

This PSUs not really mod friendly :/ If it's glued on, there's probably a reason for that. I suggest you try get a new PSU. If that ain't possible just leave your PSU alone and accept the fact it's ugly.

White spirit or some kind of other chemical nasty might get rid of the glue but I wouldn't advise it. If you ever intend on replacing the PSU you will have spent all that time sleeving it only to get rid of it. I would upgrade to something that you know you will have for at least a few years then sleeve.

well i ran into problems when i tried to sleeve my cables. no glue but

A.) the cables dont connect properly

B.) 20+4 pin is a pain in the rear to say it politely

C.) one of the cables insulation was jacked up but i couldnt return it because they would know i was modding it and if i had plugged it into my computer it would have shorted it out and then i would be out big bucks.

D.) I needed to upgrade to a stronger psu in the future and i should have gotten it in the first place.

E.) its to late to return and i voided the warranty and it cant be used now so i cant sell it.

So basically then best way is to sell it and get a better PSU, my budget is so limited because i am thinking of getting a new ultrabook in nov. here are the specs

1) amd phenom iix4

2) asrock 990fx extreme 9

3) 7 chasis fan

4) 2 cpu fans

5) storage-120GB samsung 840(main

1TB WD Blue

2x120GB toshiba hdd

6) xfx 7770

Windows 7 home

I am getting more storage in the future. And i am OCing. I am going to try to sell this but in the mean time, what psu should i get.

requirements:

-low noise to no noise

-modular(semi or full, dont car)

-blue colored fan(perfer but can be skipped)

-at least 4 modular for hot swapable bay

-easy to sleeve

My budget is so limited i need to get the best psu/$$. If possible, long cables b/c i have the azza gensis 9000 case.

It appears to be a very thin set of cables, you could just sleeve it all together and cover the glue and some of the back end of the connector with heatshrink.

Like this sata cable:

This was how it was originally heatshrinked. I want to singlely sleeve. Should i and can i single sleeve it and on that end(connecting to the psu) tie it with those plastic zip locks and heat shink it. I think that might work but i dont know
