PC switches off when launching a game

king of cool

My pc decides to switch off when I'm launching a game and I have checked the RAM and PSU ,both are working no problem. And the CPU is not overheating.

Could it be the CPU or the motherboard?

My specs:

CPU: Intel I3 2120

GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 ti 1GB

RAM: 8GB DDR3 1333MHz (2x 4GB)

PSU: Corsair VS450 450 watt

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H61M-DS2

Did you look in Event Viewer to see if there's some fatal error logged there?   Control Panel -> Administrative Tools > Event viewer  (or something like that)  and check Windows logs.

Could be your game doesn't support the video card, maybe it requires DirectX 12 or some features the video card can't handle, and it crashes resetting the system.

Could it be it's a more recent game that's simply not designed to handle video cards with just 1 GB of VRAM memory?

Try with a previous driver version that's compatible with 560ti in case it's a driver bug ? (it's kinda old video card, so you'll have to search for the latest driver that still supports 560ti and then go back a bit and download a previous version)
