Lighting for Desk Studio

so i have plan to record stuff on my desk. currently im using phone and overhead tripod works fine. but one issue is the lighting.

i bought a Softbox with E27 socket (1). but i dont know how much lumen should i put inside the bulb.

Room Condition:

- one softbox wuth 45 degree angle

- night lamp 4W 3000K.

- no natural light, i close my window when record.

- Ceiling light is bad. 6500K 13W and no filter. never use it.

Q:

1) does one softbox enough?

2) how much lumen should i put

3) how about color temprature? daylight, warm white. or warm?

1. Id get multiple lights as you normally get some strong shadows with just light. Probably get a second smaller ligth to fill shadows.

2. Id get as many lumens as you can. Its much easier to remove light than add light. Probably get some high output led lights here. I have been using 100w cfl lights for my softbox, but this was before leds were really a option.

3. Doesn't really matter as it seems like these lights will be the only ones used. You can set your camera to whatever white balance you want. If you get other lights, just make sure its matched.

Yea the light is bright, but its nice to be able to run the camera at a low iso, and gives you flex-ability in the camera if you want to stop down the lens.

100w cfl is like a 400-500w incandescent light. Id get a led here now. MIght want to go dimmable if you want flexability.

Id get both lights as dimmable, just makes its easier to work with. Get brighter lights, its much easier to dim/use nd filters than dealing with not enough light.

most people run softboxes on 60-300W of LED lights
for a talking head and close normal 60-100 is fine
