So I used to use Pop OS, Manjaro and Ubuntu long time ago (2-3 years ago). But I came back to Windows for my games (Thanks to Battleye anticheat and easy anticheat) So my question is that only 1 of the games I play rn doesn't work on linux through wine/proton but it should work in a VM though right ? Also will the BF 2042 work in Linux someway ?

EAC and Battleye freaks out EVEN MORE in a VM. Bare metal is the only way to go with those games.

There are ways to conceal your VM through KVM hardening, the r/VFIO subreddit is really good with that stuff but it can be tricky for the average user.

They have been saying that for awhile, but there has been no real movement. It's just kind of a wait and see what happens kind of thing.

My guess is they are going to try to use Steam Deck sales to try to get companies to give in.

if you harden you VM, and get VFIO to pass your card over you should be good, dont count on it you can still get banned , and Nvidia  can be very fun sometimes, plus you go with something like arch, or arco, NOT MANJARO (manjaro is bad) and nothing deb based it makes it a bit harder
