Hey looking at buying an acreage in rural Saskatchewan and only starlink is available for internet, does anyone have any real life experience with it? Both our jobs are dependent upon internet and if we buy and it turns out to suck we will

lose everything

Yes, it is a big investment up front. But from what I've heard, the service is decent especially in rural areas.

The problem is its an unknown, it should get better over time, but it could equally get worse as more people use it.  There's just so much that could go wrong.

No experiences but what I have been told from family members. Satellite internet depends on location, coverage and most importantly, having line of sight. If the dish is obscured in anyway and doesn't a link of site to the satellites then you will have bad speeds or the dish won't connect at all. Weather can affect speeds, if it is rainy or cloudy, you may see a decrease in speeds.
