First, what size? Second, if you're just looking for an OLED TV, maybe. It's missing a lot of the features of its more expensive siblings, like the C1, though. No HDMI 2.1, fewer HDMI ports, worse speakers (though no TV speakers are particularly great), etc.

Also, where are you seeing it for this price? Make sure it's not used or refurbished, because it's obviously not such a good deal then.

It's brand new, straight from the factory. Not been used as a demo, return or even been opened.

Well, seems like a good deal for what it is. $400 under what LG is selling for on their website. It still has that a little too good to be true feeling though. It's virtually unheard of to see OLED under $1000, and a $400 discount is pretty extreme, for something that retails for $1300. Seems like something is up with it.

It is 60hz so not a good gaming display.

OLEDs lifespans is in hours so check the hours before you buy.

My 2019 B9 was perfect for 4900 hours but burned in after that.

It's part of their summer sale here in Sweden, everything has crazy discounts and this one seems like a hidden gem. Issue is that the A1 seems like such a downgrade from the CX/C1 that it might be worth waiting for one of them to be on sale.

It's ok but it will have a lesser tolerance for oled burn in. So I personally wouldn't get it as there are other competing tvs around that price that avoid burn in all together by not being oled tvs.

Hi!

So my local electronics store has an LG A1 OLED display on sale for 900 USD. Is this a good deal? Is the TV even good?

Id appreciate any input!

I'd step up for a BX, CX or even B1/C1 over this.  The A1 is a decent set, but it's more of a cost-cutting measure than an amazing value.

Also, don't worry about all the talk of OLED burn-in. I have a C7 from 2017, and it's still going strong almost four years after I bought it. You just have to be considerate of OLED when you use it — don't leave it on the same news broadcast or static game screen for long stretches of time. That's fairly easy if you remember to turn the TV off when you're not watching or playing (there is a screensaver that kicks in for things like paused video).
