So for the last few days my pc has been freezing and then crashing after and sometimes the screen goes black and it also crashes where i have to forcefully restart the pc in both scenarios

Now i'm here to ask for help to narrow down as which part could be causing this issue and how i can test each one and find out

Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help :)

First up, post full specs, if you're not sure how to get the specifics, download a free program called CPUZ and post screenshots of each tab

https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html

Next up, we'll want temps so download hwinfo64

https://www.hwinfo.com/download/

When installed, tick the sensor only box and post a screenshot of basically everything

Case - Phanteks Evolv X | PSU - EVGA 650w Gold Rated | Mobo - ASUS Strix x570-f | CPU - AMD r9 3900x | RAM - 32GB Corsair Dominator Platinum 3200mhz @ 3600mhz | GPU - EVGA nVidia 2080s 8GB  | OS Drive - Sabrent 256GB Rocket NVMe PCI Gen 4 | Game Drive - WD 1tb NVMe Gen 3  |  Storage - 7TB formatted
Cooled by a crap load of Noctua fans and Corsair H150i RGB Pro XT

That's one hot-a-potato!

CPU overheating, can you post a photo of your case's internals too as well as posting the cooler?

A photo of your case open might be sufficient

If you turn off the pc and put pressure on the corners of the CPU fan, is there any "give" at all? Your fan on the cpu cooler is clearly spinning but is the actual plate making contact with the CPU is what I'm wondering.

Edit - just to be clear, not the actual fan, the 4 "spokes" on the corners of the cooler.

More thoughts - You have a stock intel cooler, it isn't great but it should do the job, or at least to a much better extent than it actually is. Your fan is working, so the cooler either isn't making proper contact with the CPU or you have a really bad thermal paste application (or no thermal paste at all!), can't imagine it'd be anything else.

Really need a better cooler, maybe a 120 AIO CPU cooler, it can both cool the cpu and exhaust hot air out the back of the pc case.

Agreed a better cooler would be the best result (I'd personally advise against a 120mm AIO, bit pointless imo, just get quality air cooling in this case) but even the stock Intel cooler shouldn't perform this bad.

Not sure if theres's space for intake fans on the case based on the photos, could be a bad case design for airflow in general, still shouldn't be throttling though.

Any chance it would be something else that's the problem?

IMO it's unlikely to be anything else. Your cooler isn't great but the fan is clearly working and should be providing more cooling than it currently is. It's not making proper contact with the CPU to the point where it's transferring heat from the CPU to the heatsink. Only two things it could be are it's not connected to your mobo right (not seated correctly) or insufficient thermal paste.

Try new thermal paste first, if you still have overheating issues you may need a better cooler.
