Hi,

Had an EK Rtx 2080TI FE block on for some time now and putting the the original cooler back on, all Thermal pads are in tact and clean except for two sections of the blue style material on the 2080TI (hopefully people get what i mean by that..) its the Blue material covering the power deliery, i have cut off the parts damaged and replaced with new thermal pads. will this be ok? all the remaining original material is fine and in tact.

If the new thermal pads are the right thickness and thermal conductivity I don’t forsee a problem

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
