Just make sure your PSU can handle the wattage and is a good unit. 

It'd definitely possible.

You could use the second for a monitor and even run F@H or mine on the side with it.

Op clearly said a second monitor. So I doubt that is the case.

If you can plug them in and the slots work, then the cards will work. That is how expansion slots tend to function.
