Surface Book GPU Switch

Hello Community,

 

 

Im going to get my hands on Surface Book with a GTX 965M. As far, as i know its a MXM Card, and i have seen its possible to replace a MXM card with another MXM card. 

 

So now there is my question, since i have Seen Videos, that you can Open your Surface Book's Keyboard (as far as i know the GPU is placed inside the Keyboard):

 

Is it possible to replace the GTX 965M With f.e. a GTX 980M or 10xx model With MXM Connection ?

I can't find anything that shows there is a mxm card in there. THe gpu seems to be soldered directly to the board in the keyboard.

 

The 980m and other high end cards will make too much heat anyways for the cooling that is available.

Okay, so they took a soldered 965M, Not a MXM Card. I get that. Such a pity

I guess you are right, i had wrong information at the beginning. Its not MXM, its soldered.
