Completely wipe iBook G4

My aunt gave me her old iBook G4 to try and erase it and I was hoping I could use the internal disk utility but apple decided to make it so disk utility can only be used if you have the original disks which no one has. Then I thought to use DBaN but I can't get the stupid thing to detect the USB Drive as bootable material. Does anyone know how to format the drive for the iBook G4 to trick it into thinking its a CD-ROM Drive? I am using DBaN Version 2.0.0 "PowerPC Edition".

 

Also I know there are a lot of tutorials to "Factory Reset" an iBook G4 but none of them delete the user information; only allow you to create a new account.

Are you just wanting to erase the drive? Or do you want to put a clean installation of Mac OS X on it?

I'm just trying to zero out the drive. I will either recycle or sell it after with no OS on it.

Do you have any blank CDs? It'll be easy to just make a new install disc and go from there. And don't recycle it if it still works.

I don't have any CD's unfortunately, only USB Drives.

They're not easy to open up. Wiping it is actually easier.

I'm not really the strongest girl on earth but I promise you I can open an ibook g4 with a hammer faster and easier than you can wipe the drive
