5900x 85c max temp after 40 min realbench stress test ok?

So as the title suggests my 5900x running at 4.5 GHz @ 1,2125V after a 40 min realbench stress test maxes out at 85c-86c.Is this temp ok?   Usually besides realbench in videogames i pull max 65c in intensive games but usually average about 60c.In cinebench runs my CPU goes up to 74-75c.Opinions on these temps? Anything wrong with them or are they ok? Ambient temp about 25-26c

Yeah, seems fine. 

 

RealBench will give you higher temperatures because unlike Cinebench, it also stresses your GPU.

 

So your CPU temperatures will increase as well due to GPU waste heat. It also goes through a gamut of simultaneous different real world tests. These reasons are why I utilize it as my primary stress test.

a bit on the hot side but if you are mostly just gaming or idle then it is fine

The long standing max temp for Ryzen is 95C. That is the point at which you might start thermal throttling. There's anedoctal evidence that Zen 3 can get as high as 105C before throttling in some cases, but pushing 95C would still be a bad idea. You're 10C off from that, so you're probably fine. A synthetic benchmark is generally going to push your components farther than real world usage would, anyways. Still, it would be more comfortable to have them lower than that.

Any reason why you locked it at 4500 1.215?

 

I didn't let it run for 40 mins but long enough to get the temps up. Mine is boosting to 4600 - 4650 under that load with a heatsink.

It was really high voltage making it be really hot so i put it at a ok voltage and core clock

As you are finding out these things can be a bit of a bear at the top end.. and reading you’re last post it seems as though you’re AIO is at its limit. I love my 5900X but it is a bit unwieldy at times. It’s like when my 5600X is at its limits.. but with more of everything

Probably a good temp for only a 240mm AIO.  Is this after you got your thermal paste issue fixed?

It's with the same thermal paste,haven't changed anything on it.

Nope,im pretty sure after screwing in the AIO it spread more across the CPU since the picture i took was before screwing in the AIO.

Well i'm probably gonna take a look tomorrow and re-apply the paste but the temps seem fine,im not sure but i do think that i have applied enough even though it didn't look like i did.

In all seriousness, those temps are fine, but if you put better paste application it would probably shave a few degrees off.

 

Obviously, do NOT put paste in the socket.

Looks like a decent amount; should be fine. If you wanted to do an X that would be good too.

I copied your settings maybe it will look something like this? Keep in mind I am just using a heatsink, no fancy water.. but should be close I would think..

Well im getting about 85c with those settings also i put 4.4 GHz since it wasnt stable for me 4.5
