Is it worth upgrading from Xeon X5450 to i7-3770K?

Hi, i have old Xeon X5450 and R9 280X GPU. My CPU bottlenecks my GPU, so i'm thinking about upgrade.

 

 

I'm thinking about getting P67 board, 16GB of RAM and i7-3770K from used market.

 

Is it worth to upgrade?

It depends on how many you will pay for it.

Many people sell sets like this for price that is not worth to buy.

I went from X5690 to 3770K and it was a good little bump.. From 3770K to 5600X is an insane bump.. if you can keep your old rig running I would do that until you have enough for something a little more modern. Even a 3600 on a b450 would be an awesome upgrade.
