Hello, I was going to build a PC for my friend and wanted to ask what you guys think of these specs. The budget is around 1100$, I am located in Switzerland.

Intel Core i5-9600KF

GTX 1660 Ti  -or-  RX 5600 XT   (He doesn't need a top of the line GPU since he doesn't play GPU-intensive games)

Gigabyte Z390 UD (MoBo)

Crucial Ballistix (2x 8GB DDR4 3200mHz)

Adata SX8200 Pro (M.2 NVMe SSD)

Seagate BarraCuda (3 TB)

Seasonic Focus GX (650 W)

Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240

Phanteks Eclipse P400 Tempered Glass (Midi Tower)

Are these specs ok or would you have a better suggestion? Thank you for your help and have a great day!

get the i5-10600KF because it has more threads and higher clocks. also, it is based off of a newer architecture. i’d highly recommend it over the 9600kf for the reasons above. also, you could get by with an air cooler such as a arctic freezer esports duo lol or scythe fuma 2 and it should save some cash.

I'd suggest the 11400 or the 5600x instead.

You can't do much with $1100, you could build a system that's 40% faster for only $100 more. Save that extra money, and don't screw yourself out of value.

Here's what I'd recommend (for $1200):

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tR2jF8

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor  ($289.99 @ Walmart)
CPU Cooler: be quiet! Pure Rock 2 Black CPU Cooler  ($44.90 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 Motherboard  ($164.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL16 Memory  ($91.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Blue SN550 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive  ($104.99 @ Lenovo)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 12 GB Video Card  ($339.98)
Case: Phanteks Eclipse P360A ATX Mid Tower Case  ($84.98 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: MSI 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply  ($80.70 @ Amazon)
Case Fans: 2x Phanteks PH-F120SK 50 CFM 120 mm Fan  ($9.99 each @ Newegg)

Total: $1222.50

PS: PCPartPicker doesn't list an option for builds featured in Switzerland, so I'd recommend trying your best to recreate this build using your local websites to make the included links more accurate.

This is way over OPS budget, you have to remember that they are in Europe. $1200 converts to 1000 euros, while $1100 converts to 929.

The OP is in Switzerland, their national currency is the Swiss Franc, so the entire basis of this statement is off. He also said "$1100", not "€1100". Dollars are American.

I don't know what school you went to but they taught you wrong. My build is actually under the OP's budget by $72.99 if we're basing this in Euros. You technically disproved yourself with your own statement if you look closely (lower numbers don't mean more expensive).

Mb, im just a dumbass lol

but this is still over OPs budget. Even if your build was listed as 1.1K USD, it would still be overbudget

Also american schools dont teach this. Or i'm just too young and I havent learnt this stuff yet c;

$1100 USD is $1013.56 Swiss Franc, $1222.50 USD is $1126.44 Swiss Franc.

If $26.44 counts as overbudget, you're correct actually. 🙂

Out of these two the 5600 xt is the better choice.

Are these part partially picked by on hand or used parts? Or are there local deals?

I ask since 9th gen is fairly old at this point.

Also could you link to a retailer? Would make it easier to make certain recommendations.
