My Monitor... after a couple of months.

Go to solution Solved by Stahlmann,

While it is repariable, 1080p 27" IPS monitors have gotten cheap enough where i would rather buy a new one. The replacement panel will likely cost just as much... (If you can even find one)

I'll still be using this display because I noticed it's repairing itself. But unfortunately won't be showing a bit of the left side anymore.
I watched an LTT video a couple days ago. They repaired a broken monitor with a panel replacement. although my panel isn't completely broken, working just... A ton of dead colors. the more I leave it off the better it becomes, less visible.

Its only going to get worse after more heating/cooling cycles as the crack will get bigger.

What on earth happened in the bottom left corner?  Almost certainly something jabbed into it.  Vindictive sibling with a pen?

My Keyboard went flying into it for some reason. I'll try to ask it.

(I most have thought it was an paper airplane...) it is quite a heavy Keyboard.

They definitely won't accept an RMA since the panel is obviously cracked.

So yes it's repairable with a new panel if you can find one.

Since the crack in the glass doesn't has an ending point. It will only get worse over time before the display dies completely.

Well, great that I'm getting a new monitor in a few days. I will attempt to fix this panel if that's worth some effort and cost. I noticed it doesn't endure a small amount of pressure. So cleaning is complicated.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Thanks, and that would be a lot of work and risk in replacing a panel. I'll mark this as the solution.
My brother let me have his monitor till I get my new one. Which will arrive tomorrow!
