Running projects created on Arm version of softwares on x86 programs.

Hi all, 

 

I’ve joined for a degree on computer science, now I’m interested in getting an m1 MacBook Pro for school. My concern is since m1 is an arm based processor and uses softwares for arm, will I be able to run projects or open the files I created using arm version on another system running x86 architecture/x86 applications. Will the emulation on m1 Mac cause any issues with running these files on x86 systems. I'll be using kali Linux for school work and I would be using parallels to run it on m1 MacBook. Any info this would be really helpful.
