What settings do you use for case and CPU fan speeds/behavior? Mine are too loud.

Triggeravus

I don't mean the fans are rattling or anything, but the sound of rushing air when they rev up is getting annoying. I keep thinking it's wind blowing in the game.

Right now I have all my fans (4 chassis fans, 2 AIO cooler fans) set to PWM mode Standard in the Asus bios.

I don't remember them revving up so hard when I first got the PC so I'm wondering what I changed and what settings would make them quiet.

I adjusted the curve until the CPU is about 65-70c under load. By default mine got 50c with a lot of noise. You can also undervolt your CPU and GPU, that should also help things.

I have a gradual slope for fan voltage over temperatures (as in Y-axis over X-axis). Anything that has steep curves will result in sudden fan ramping and over time, can be bad for the fan to do. My max 100% fan voltage is set for 65 oC, with idle around 35-40% fan voltage.
