it fluctuates

unless the fps doesnt drop much or you basically dont care about any of the change those little clock drop do..

then id say your gpu is perfectly fine

but if you want those 1950 clock back, then i guess you can use after burner and increase the power target

i dont know why but i noticed lately my gpu is running at fairly low coreclocks compared to a couple of days ago. my msi gaming x trio 3080 is running at 1830-1890 mhz somewhere in that range on 1440p ultra on days gone. it used to reache 1950 i dont know why it isnt anymore. i didnt mess around with msi afterburner and my max temp is around 76

The boost clock for that card is 1815 MHz according to MSI's webpage, so nothing is wrong. What you're probably seeing is just Nvidia's GPU Boost at work. Since you mention it going higher in the past, I'm betting on temperatures getting too high for it to boost further (above 60 C is where it starts kicking in). In that case the solution would be to set a more aggressive fan curve if possible and cool the card further. You can also try your luck tweaking the settings in e.g. Afterburner. That or it's power limited or voltage limited for some reason.

If you download GPU-Z you can check the sensors tab and see if "PerfCap Reason" tells you anything.
