Good day to all the wise people off the Linus Forums.

I would like to know. Does the Intel Celeron J1900 supports Direct X 12?

We are a Point Of Sale company, this means a lot of cheap AIO's that just need to run Windows 10, our POS software & remote support software.

Almost all our AIO's are Celerons J1900's with 4GB of RAM & 64GB SSD & they run pretty fine.

The problem is that Windows 10 stops support in 2025, so we will have to get them all on to Windows 11. The PC's do meet the minimum system requirements, except that Window’s 11 needs DX12 support.

I have looked, but can’t find any mansion of DX support on the J1900. If they don’t, then we will have to replace a couple of hundred PCs in the next four years.

My second question would be, what integrated Intel GPU's does support DX12 & would Intel make an equivalent low-end CPU that does by then?

"Windows 11 will also require your setup to have at least a 9-inch display output with a 720p resolution and your system must have support for DirectX 12 graphics or WDDM2.x. A report by XDA Developers also suggests that your laptop will need to have a precision touchpad to be eligible for the Windows 11 update.”: Source

Thanks in advance

As someone else who works with a lot of pos systems, I really wouldn't worry now.

First of all, that 2025 date is for retirement, not end of life, win 10 will get support after that date if you have the correct versions.

Next thing, just wait. The beta isn't even out, and things will likely change before the rtm release comes out.
