I got a question will the 8700k be enough to stream and play fivem or Grand Theft Auto 5 lspdfr plus have google chrome and discord and some other stuff running in the background without losing that much frames I used to do this stuff on my amd a4-7300 apu cpu but in February it wouldn’t turn on all the sudden and I’m trying to find a job more so I’m trying to get a bank account I don’t have a id yet I’m getting one I July 21 since the dmv wait scheduling times have been up to 5+ months in Texas <removed by staff>. Anyways will the 8700k be able to handle that much cpu usage atleast obs Grand Theft Auto 5 and some google chrome tabs open and discord. When I doing this on my 7300 apu I kept losing frame I even had a 1050 ti. That’s bring up another question should I stick with amd or intel my family uses intel but my experience with amd wasn’t bad with that chip I was able to overclock a nonoverclockable chip and I got little better performance. What about a 3600 or a 2600 ryzen. I’m trying not to go all out and get a expensive cpu cause I still half to get a motherboard, ram, power supply, case, I don’t want to get a 6950x I want to but I mean I don’t want it to break and i just bought a $1,000 dollar cpu when I might not be able to tell what stopped working in the feature but I am keeping my gtx 1050 to that’s probably won’t go well with the 6950x

Avoid Ryzen 3000, it is slower and more expensive than Intel 10th gen.

Intel is now cheaper than AMD

Get a 10400/11400 6 core, or 10700/11700 8 cores.

Between 10th/11th gen, get which ever gen is cheaper, and what ever model is cheapest/on discount. They all perform about the same, you'd only notice in a benchmark. The f models don't have an iGPU, if you want the iGPU avoid f models.

If you live near microcenter a 10850k for $319, that would be worth spending a bit extra on, its a lot faster than anything else near that price. It's such a great deal at that price, it'll save money long term by preventing upgrades. Unfortunately most people don't live near microcenter 😭

For streaming NVENC is likely your best option, otherwise you need many CPU cores.

8700k > all Ryzen 1000, 2000, and 3000 at gaming.

Ryzen 5000 Series is a bit better than a highly clocked 8700k through 10700k, and about equal to a 10900k.

But I recommend periods and paragraphs.

ryzen 3000 is outdated at this point compared to a 10600k (hard to beat), 10400/11400 depending on ur local pricing, for speed and (still) budget theres the 5600g and the rest of the ryzen 5000 lineup.
